4 Ways to Wear a Flannel (Fashion)

Even though it's not quite fall yet, you can get a jump on this awesome grunge style right now. One of my favorite pieces... a Flannel!
First of all, flannels are super easy to come by. Try thrift stores first. (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.) But you can also get them at Forever 21, Rave, Kohls, JC Penny, and tons of other stores. I would get a basic red plaid flannel that buttons down and comes down to your mid-thigh. (that way, it's more versatile) And don't forget, flannels are always great for cooler weather!
So here it is- 4 Ways to Wear a Flannel!

(And remember, with these outfits you can try out some new jewelery ideas!)

1. Sexy Lumberjack!

First, button the flannel all the way (or leave a button open on top, whatever you choose.) I always roll up the sleeves a little bit. Then, tuck it into a pair of dark rinse jeans. Pair it with black suspenders and black boots. (I like to wear a pair of open-toed black booties with it.)

2. Pretty in Punk

This style is simple but looks crazy and fun. Once again, button your flannel all the way up and tie on a regular black tie. Then, pair it with a black pencil skirt. This style also looks good with boots and chain/silver jewelery.
Girly Grunge
This one is a great outfit for those Monday mornings where you just want to be comfortable... but it also looks classic grunge. Wear your flannel open over a t-shirt (I picked my Nirvana t-shirt) with a pair of light rinse jeans. Add some hoop earrings and Converse and you're good to go!
Polished and Collared
This look is a bit more popular and less daring. First put on a Polo shirt, either black or white. Then, put on your flannel over it and leave 2 or 3 buttons open on top. Put on a pair of jeans of your choosing. For shoes, I'd wear some open toed or strappy shoes.

And there you have it, 4 fun flannel ideas!
